Jon Stewart retired from The Daily Show only two weeks ago and now a petition has been set up to bring him back into the world of politics.

A Change.org petition has been launched hoping to convince the Commission on Presidential Debates to consider inviting Jon Stewart moderate one of the three national televised debates that will air sometime next year.

Over the last 16 years, Jon Stewart has played an influential and iconic role in covering US politics and media. We believe he should continue that tradition as a moderator at one of the 2016 Presidential Debates.

Jon Stewart is more than qualified to tackle the moderating job. Mr. Stewart has interviewed 15 heads of state, 22 members of the United States Cabinet, 32 members of the United States Senate, 7 members of the United States House of Representatives, and scores of other political leaders from this country and around the world while establishing himself as the most trusted person in (satirical) news.

The petition asks for 200,000 signatures and a public response from the government on the state of this petition should it reach its goal. So far, it has gathered 163,773.

If you'd like to sign the petition, or leave a comment on why you think it's dumb, you can do that right here

If you need another reminder that time's flat circle will eventually roll over and crush you, it might as well be in the form of Harry Potter news.

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the public's introduction to Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as the three precocious, magical children who found adventure, friendship and eventually love in the halls of Hogwarts.

Seriously, 15 years.

You probably have memories of this, don't you? Meaning you are even older than old.

Here's part of the original press release that preceded the filming of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone:

ATTENTION ALL MUGGLES! Director Chris Columbus and producer David Heyman have discovered their Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger from the thousands of children who cast their names into the hat to play the roles. Young actor Daniel Radcliffe will be the film's Harry, with newcomers Rupert Grint and Emma Watson taking on the roles of Ron and Hermione, Harry's best friends at Hogwarts, in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming adaptation of the first in the best-selling series of Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling.

The hashtag #15yearsofDanEmmaRupert has sprung up around the anniversary with people sharing their memories and their appreciation for the wizarding trio.

By the by, this is what they look like now:

And you're probably older. Much older.

Sorry about the reminder that death is hurtling towards you at lightning speed.

The first photos of Lady Gaga on the set of American Horror Story: Hotel show the singer wearing a red-caped gown on location at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

A fan also captured footage of her entering a sculpture area to the music of Dinah Washington's "Coquette."

We know that Gaga will play Elizabeth, a wealthy countess who owns Hotel Cortez. She will be evil and dies in the show. But, knowing the franchise, being evil and dying are pretty commonplace.

The show will premiere on Oct. 7 on FX.

UPDATE: Josh Duggar has admitted on his family blog that he has a "secret addiction" to pornography and was unfaithful to his wife.

Also this meme is the best thing...

ORIGINAL POST:

Karma is really having a good time with this guy.

Revealed by a recent major data breach, Gawker reports that Josh Duggar, reality TV star and "family values" activist, appears to have purchased an Ashley Madison account from Feb. 2013 until May 2015. Ashley Madison is a website that aids in helping users find extramarital affairs.

This revelation comes after his show 19 Kids and Counting was canceled in July because of police reports noting past sexual assault allegations.

"Someone using a credit card belonging to a Joshua J. Duggar, with a billing address that matches the home in Fayetteville, Arkansas owned by his grandmother Mary—a home that was consistently shown on their now-cancelled TV show, and in which Anna Duggar gave birth to her first child—paid a total of $986.76 for two different monthly Ashley Madison subscriptions from February of 2013 until May of 2015," Gawker reported.

The data also revealed the sexual preference of the account holder, which included "bubble bath for 2" and "someone I can teach."

Many have pointed out Duggar's hypocrisy, since he has vocally advocated against marriage equality. This tweet basically sums that up.

Sit back and let me tell you about the 1990s, my children. It was a time when the Internet barely existed, when most soft drinks were transparent and when every popular movie had an accompanying Saturday morning cartoon.

That honor was almost bestowed upon 1993's classic Jurassic Park, based on original images released by William Stout on his website.

Check out these images:

Moviefone got some more information from Stout about what became of the neat-looking cartoon:

"We made a trailer to communicate the look and feel of the series, also showing how we would combine computer animation with traditional animation. All we needed was Spielberg's approval.

"I heard through the grapevine that [Spielberg] never bothered to watch what we had done," Stout said. "By that time, the word was out that he was burnt out on 'Jurassic Park' merchandising and all of the film's commercial exploitation. So, it never got made. Too bad."

With the crazy success of Jurassic World, you'd almost expect them to be exploring this all over again.
