It looks like the power of his oxycodine-induced, self-designed throne has gone to Dave Grohl's head. At a show last week, he generously allowed a fan to play the drums for the old Foo Fighters hit Big Me.
There's no telling what happened to the regular drummer, but the possibility exists that they fell off the back stage and were not given the luxury of having a tour throne built for them.
Remember when Dave Grohl broke his leg while playing a show and then finished the concert?
Well according to USA Today, the tour must go on as well.
As long as Grohl has a throne to prop up his healing leg.
Consequence of Sound is reporting that Dave Grohl suffered an accident while playing with the Foo Fighters in Sweden June 12. But he didn't let that stop him from being a badass.
Grohl reportedly fell during the band's performance of "Monkey Wrench" and remained on the ground for several minutes before being taken backstage. "Hey, ladies and gentlemen. I love you, but I think I just broke my leg. I really broke my leg," he told the audience.
While Grohl was attended to backstage, the rest of Foo Fighters played a set of covers sung by drummer Taylor Hawkins. Ultimately, Grohl returned to the stage with his leg wrapped and finished the concert sitting in a chair. "I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play guitar and scream," he proclaimed.
Thanks for continue being cooler than all of us, Dave.
These images are floating around Reddit at the moment, acting as a sort of cautionary tale for either falling asleep in public or drinking too much. Or both. Pictured is The Maccabees drummer Sam Doyle missing his chance to meet Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones.
