June 11 was a rough day for social media network Twitter as CEO Richard Costolo resigned from his position after the company lost a pretty penny in 2014.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has stepped up to be the interim CEO and it looked like his beard might detract from the negative publicity.

And then things got even more interesting, and probably embarrassing for Dorsey, when his mom tweeted her dislike for his hirsuite appearance.

Imagine the personal hell of inventing a social media only to have your mom join and publicly guilt your facial hair on it.

This is the world in which you live.

A jokey version of this post appeared on Facebook last year, where many were duped by the idea that Spielberg went around hunting actual dinosaurs (who are again, 65 million years extinct) for sport.

As it turns out, Joyce Carol Oates isn't immune to the internet joke machine, and took the picture of a downed triceratops very seriously.

In advance of E3 next week, Twitter users have hit the hype train hard by combining movies and Nintendo games under the hashtag "NintendoAMovie." Check out some of our favorite examples below. A few of these would make really great films!

If I had a dollar for every time I saw a "I didn't get my letter from Hogwarts" joke, I'd probably have as much money as JK Rowling, who apparently now has the luxury of spending her days responding to fans on Twitter.

The author's latest entry into the JK Rowling Twitter Hall of Fame (seriously, she's basically the president of the great nation of Twitter at this point) reminds you that even if your letter didn't arrive by owl, you definitely went to Hogwarts.  So wipe those tears from your eyes and let the books be your Hogwarts Express.

Draco's birthday and harry potter's son keep J K Rowling on Twitter

J.K. Rowling joined a fan in their June 5 celebration of the character Draco Malfoy's birthday. She even let slip his age.

At the ripe, old age of 35, Draco can now officially be elected the President of the United States. Except for the fact that he was probably born in England. Or in the Wizarding World. Or whatever.

But if his parents took a portkey to America for the birth of their son and he was naturalized in the colonies, he could still make a run for it.

Rowling didn't stop there.

She amazingly took on a fan who doubted the legitimacy of Harry's naming his son after Severus Snape.

What a basic fan complaint. Why do you engage with this J.K.? Don't you have things to do? Where are your children?

Kristen Bell pressed the 'Pool' button on her Uber app while getting a ride, for reasons she will explain, and surprised herself with suffering the pains of a carpool.

Then she live-tweeted it.

Buckle up.

This shining beacon of a fan counted his lucky stars at getting so close to Arya Stark actor Maisie Williams.

Maybe he had just been drinking or the girl was a terrific liar, but the real Williams had to set him straight on Twitter.

Keep searching, you sensitive soul.
